LOBO Apparel Flagship Store

A complete refurbishment on a 170m2 outdated apartment in the neighbourhood of Lumiar, Lisbon, was the primary goal. All the infrastructures had to be renewed, all the pavement had to be updated, the toilets and kitchen completely redone, and a lot more storage had to be created in order to update this ‘80s apartment to the contemporary way of living.
The result was a project that always had in mind the generous areas, the natural light in every room, and the minimal and seamless designed storage spaces all over the apartment. These guidelines, as well as a beautiful location over Quinta das Conchas park, emphasised the value of the intervention.

Lobo Apparel is a durable, timeless aesthetic quality garments and accessories brand. Our main goal was to create a space where these products could be in relation with nature. The wooden box that encapsulates the whole shop space was created to make this conceptual connection to long lasting, natural and raw materials from which most of the products in the store are made of.
Covering the walls with raw wood planks and using this idea to build the shop front, the shelves, the storage drawers and the shop counter, produced the desired effect for clients entering the shop. Lighting was also treated in a minimal way, with some white spotlights in the first half of the shop, and two black triple downlights recessed into the wooden ceiling in the second half of the shop.
In the end, Lobo Apparel got it’s “Wolf’s (Lobo) den”, we hope you enjoy it.
